Ribble Steam Railway
Down at my railway you can hop on a real steam train for a ride, blow a whistle and see some of my old locomotives.
After your train ride, follow our Mr Ribble trail round the Museum. Stand on the footplate of a real steam engine and see how it works. Visit our workshop and see how we keep our trains running.
Check out our family activity area where you can dress up as Mr Ribble, climb on board our wooden engine or play with our model railway. You can draw your favourite engine and display it on the wall for us all to see! New for 2011 – a new ‘lift the flap’ quiz and family activities on the train ride.
Don’t forget that we have lots of special events, including Santa Specials in December. Keep an eye on the Things to Do and See pages (link) for details.
And after all that, enjoy some time in our cafe before you move on.
Top tip – don’t forget we’re now open on Wednesdays at half terms and in August!
Entry costs – adult £5.50, concessions £3.50, family ticket £15 (2 adults, 2 children). Higher charges apply for Santa Specials and some events.
Opening times – 10.30am to 5pm on Saturdays (May to September), Sundays and Bank Holidays (April to September) and Wednesdays in August and half term.
How to find us – we are near the Docks just off Riversway. Follow the brown tourist signs to Chain Caul Road.
