How many museums do you know where you can see real live soldiers ? Come and visit the Museum at Fulwood Barracks and have fun finding out about the life of a soldier from our regiment. We tell the story of over 300 years of Regimental history.

“Hello I’m Annie from the Harris Museum & Art Gallery.”

The Harris is packed full of treasures for you to discover each time you visit! Discover the Story of Preston, explore Mrs French’s scent bottles, meet Horace the 12,000 year old elk, and pick out your favourite painting.

“Hi, I’m Stan from the Museum of Lancashire.”

I’m wearing a hard hat because we’ve got the builders in at the moment. We’re busy changing our galleries to make brand new displays and improve the building for you. While we do this we have had to close the Museum but we’re all excited about re-opening in autumn 2011 – full of family friendly things to do!

“Hello, I’m Mr Ribble from the Ribble Steam Railway.”

Down at my railway you can hop on a real steam train for a ride, blow a whistle and see some of my old locomotives.
