Harris Museum and Art Gallery

The Harris is packed full of treasures for you to discover each time you visit!

Discover the Story of Preston, explore Mrs French’s scent bottles, meet Horace the 12,000 year old elk, and pick out your favourite painting.

You can check out the family activities in the galleries or come and take part in our fun workshops. After all of that, stop off for a drink and a snack in the Rotunda Cafe.

Top tips – look out for the Arty Activity Bags and the Scent Bottle Trail leaflet for families!

Entry costs – nothing – it’s totally FREE!!

Opening times – Monday 11am to 5pm, Tuesday – Saturday 10am to 5pm.
We’re closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

How to find us – we are on Market Square in the middle of Preston, in front of the Guild Hall. The Museum is just 5 minutes walk from the bus station or 10 minutes from the railway station. The nearest car park is above the bus station.
